Style is not about becoming someone new.

It’s about recognizing who you already are.

Style is rarely about clothing.

More often, it’s about a moment in life when something shifts.

A woman’s body changes. Her role expands. The life she once built no longer looks the same as it did five or ten years ago. And somewhere along the way, the wardrobe that once felt natural starts to feel unfamiliar.

Closets become crowded with pieces that don’t quite work anymore. Getting dressed begins to feel like guesswork. Confidence becomes something she remembers having, rather than something she feels every day.

This is the moment where many of my clients arrive.

Not because they want to follow fashion, but because they want to recognize themselves again.

Long before ImaGen Style Consulting existed, I was learning about clothing in a much quieter way.

Growing up in Trinidad, I watched my mother create garments for women in our community. She wasn’t designing for runways or trends. She was paying attention to the woman standing in front of her . Things like her posture, her personality, the way she carried herself in the world.

What I noticed even then was how much clothing could change the way someone felt.

A woman would arrive unsure of herself and leave standing taller. The right fit, the right color, the right structure could bring something forward that had been hidden or forgotten.

That early experience stayed with me.

Over time, it shaped the way I see people and the way I approach style today.

When women come to me, they are often standing in the space between who they were and who they are becoming.

Their bodies may feel different.
Their careers may be evolving.
Their responsibilities may have grown.

But their wardrobes are still reflecting an earlier chapter.

My work is to help close that gap.

I guide women through a process that combines color analysis, body understanding, and essence integration so that their clothing supports who they are now, not who they used to be.

When a woman understands what works for her body, her presence, and her lifestyle, getting dressed becomes simple again. Her clothing stops competing with her and begins supporting her.

A happy part of my day!

“Picking out my outfit and getting dressed in the morning has gone from a depressing chore to a very happy part of my day! Genelle is very accessible and I look forward to continuing to work with her for a long time to come!”

10 years ago, I started on the path to ImaGen. I earned my certification in Image Consulting through the Image Resource Center of New York. And in these ten years of business, I’ve helped clients across across the globe from the US - Wisconsin, Texas, Arizona, Dallas, Illinois, to Canada, to the islands of Trinidad and Tobago, to New Zealand.

Through Nordstrom, I’ve fitted hundreds of women for bras and was awarded a Nordstrom Bronze Medal in customer care.

As a certified Image Consultant, I’m not only trained to bring out the best of your style, I have a talent for helping you look and feel fabulous.

My goal is for you to fall in love with that reflection again. To look once, and walk away with an air of confidence that cannot be denied.

would love to have some childhood or younger photos here of you learning your craft and experience. Some from Nordstrom days, even

My mother recalls that as a child I was always fascinated by fashion magazines. I even understood ‘color’ - warmth, coolness, hues, depth, tones at a very young age, hiding away for my own ‘study’, my mom’s copy of Color Me Beautiful - an Image Consultant’s ‘bible’ for its day.

I often sat in my mother’s sewing room on the floor, collecting fallen pins, but studying carefully and admiringly the clothing pieces she created for her clients. Being a seamstress, she focused heavily on the fit of clothing for her clients, and spent countless hours with client visits, making that piece of apparel perfectly customized for their body.

Weekends were spent (drudgingly) tagging along with my mom to textile stores, picking out yards of cloth in a plethora of beautiful colors, patterns and textures, and so I picked up names of patterns and colors from listening in and chatting with the store clerks.

While I longed to be like other girls, going mall shopping for ‘ready-made’ clothes, I could explain in great detail or pick out a McCall’s or Butterick pattern from her collection, something I wanted, and my mother would create it. It was always made specifically and lovingly for me and my body, and being honest 30+ years later, my greatest compliments came when wearing her pieces.

What I Hope You Feel Here

Working together isn’t rushed or transactional.

It’s thoughtful.
It’s structured.
And it’s supportive.

You won’t be asked to become someone new.
You won’t be handed a list of rules that ignore your life or your personality.

Instead, we build a wardrobe that reflects your story, your presence, and the season of life you’re in now.

Because when your clothing aligns with who you are, something shifts.

You move differently.
You stand differently.
You recognize yourself again.

And that kind of confidence is quiet, steady, and lasting.

My Style credentials:

Excited about getting dressed now

“I feel so clear and excited about getting dressed now. I feel as though the limits that I put on myself are broken and I'm stepping into the new place little by little.”

~ Kerry I, Virtual Styling

So Who is Genelle?

I am your consultant and stylist who has a heart for helping people feel confident and settled in who they are.

Putting self image anxieties finally to rest and embracing their full essence. I have been on this journey myself. I am a testimony and my clients are a testimony.

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, guide, coach, consultant, and trainer...

I notice details.

Whether it’s the way a jacket sits on your shoulders or the colors that naturally bring your face to life, I pay attention to the small things that make a big difference.

I value simplicity.

A closet doesn’t need to be overflowing to be effective. When the right pieces are in place, getting dressed becomes calm and effortless.

I believe clothing carries emotion.

What we wear often reflects what we’re moving through in life. My goal is to help your wardrobe support you, rather than remind you of what no longer fits.

I respect where you are right now.

Bodies change. Roles evolve. Confidence grows in seasons. There is nothing to “fix” — only a story to understand and express well.
